When cared for regularly, your Cat Grass can last up to 4 weeks!

1. Give a few tablespoons of water every other day. (If you over-water, it will flow out of the mesh drainage on the bottom of the planter)

2. If your Cat Grass gets a little bushy or ragged (from the kitties munching on it), give it a haircut with a scissors - chop it straight across.

3. Put the Cat Grass on a windowsill (give it some sunlight) for at least a couple hours each day to make it last longer. Cat Grass left on the floor doesn’t last as long.

4. Optional - put it in the refrigerator overnight or to store it for a couple days.

5. Allow kitty to eat the grass directly off the plant - no need to chop it off first.

6. When the Cat Grass starts to wilt or turn brown, that’s the sign you’ll need to refill/replant!

• Check your local supermarkets for Organic Wheat Grass in the Produce department. Many Vons/Albertsons offers this and Jimbo’s Naturally in the greater San Diego area has multiple size options. We’re always on the lookout for more places and will keep this list updated!

• If you’d like to try growing your own, Amazon has great options for seeds in bulk like this one! Just remember to cover the soil with a solid layer of seeds so that the grass grows in a thick density. (we like to use 1.5 TB of seeds)

Cat Grass is full of fiber and very nutritious and safe for cats!

• Cat Grass can be grown from barley, wheat, rye or oat seeds - or a combination of those. Our Cat Grass is Organic Wheat Grass so it is pesticide-free and safe for cats to eat.

• The fiber in Cat Grass can help kitty loosen up a hairball and/or help the mobility of their digestive tract.

• Cat Grass contains chlorophyll to help freshen kitty’s breath.

• It also contains folic acid, which aids in the production of hemoglobin to oxygenate the blood and help with kitty’s circulation!
